Karel Thuwis

I grew up in a small town in Belgium where I got my entrepreneurial spirit by working in the family-owned bakery. When I was 17 years old, I moved to the USA and played 4 years of college basketball for the Caldwell Cougars in New Jersey. It was my wife Melissa who brought me down to Charlotte after college, and it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. After 7 years as a mortgage consultant with large companies I was ready to take full control of my business and destiny. Starting Motivation Mortgage with Tyler and Joe truly is the American dream come true for me. My goal is not only to help families with their own American dream of home ownership, but also to help them achieve true financial freedom. I want to educate my clients on how to use a mortgage as a financial tool to build long term wealth. In my down time I spend most of my time with friends and family. I love cooking a big Sunday breakfast with a Belgian twist. I also enjoy traveling and exploring new places and meeting new people and hearing their stories. I look forward to hearing yours!!!
